So you might ask, “What is Intuitive Eating?”, “Is Intuitive Eating just eating when and what you want?”, “Are you saying that this is the ONLY way to eat properly?”…

Intuitive Eating is a method of eating that has absolutely nothing to do with diets, calories, good foods or bad foods, meal plans, or anything else of that nature. It is a means of getting back to the natural methods instilled in us through nature to know when we are truly hungry and when we are at the proper place to stop. How in the world can this work? Well, think of a toddler. If you ever stop to watch a 2 year old eat, you’ll notice something. No matter how much they love what they are eating, they will simply stop when they’ve had enough. They also are great at telling us when they are hungry. How is it that they know if no one has informed them? It’s nature! I have a blog post all about why ‘dieting’ doesn’t work, and how truly health people are naturals at intuitive eating. This is still a very vibrant part of my journey, so I’m sure I will be writing more about it as time goes on.
