Finding the right help is really tough. In fact, while there might be several options near where you live, finding a professional who has the competency and experience to truly help you make life-long changes that help you beat ED and learn the right way to employ self-care is nearly impossible.

If by chance you live in Indiana, then I would highly recommend the professionals who have worked with me. I was fortunate to find my therapist and dietitian through simply calling a suggestion from my insurance provider, but upon further investigation I found out that this was the best place around to truly achieve the goals I wanted to achieve. The best part is that Northside Mental Health has professionals for MORE than just eating disorders that can focus and whom specialize in your specific needs.

Sarah Trueblood


Sarah Trueblood is a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Indiana. Sarah completed her undergraduate degree at Hanover College in 2008, and went on to earn her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at IUPUI in 2012.

Sarah began her clinical training at the St. Vincent Stress Center. In the inpatient and outpatient settings, she gained experience in providing both individual and group therapy to adults and youth diagnosed with mental illness. She also facilitated both partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient program psycho-education and process groups for individuals struggling with chemical dependency. Sarah has more recently worked at Midtown Community Mental Health Center providing individual and group therapy to adults diagnosed with a severe mental illness and intellectual disability. Sarah is currently employed full-time as a counselor at La Verna Lodge for Men, a branch of Fairbanks Hospital that provides long-term residential services for men struggling with chemical dependency.

Sarah is open to working with individuals with a variety of challenges including mood disorders, anxiety, trauma-related issues, difficult life changes, grief and loss, addiction, and low self-worth. Sarah provides counseling primarily rooted in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing and uses a strength-based perspective. She incorporates other therapeutic approaches including Supportive Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to promote self-awareness, emotional regulation, and mindfulness. Sarah is most passionate about building a trusting and positive relationship with clients in order to ensure a safe environment that promotes progress and personal growth.

 Lauren Collins


As a registered dietitian, food lover, and creator of Renovate Your Plate, Lauren’s passion in life is to help others live healthier lives through loving themselves and food at the same time.

Lauren received my Bachelors in Dietetics at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. After graduation she began working towards her Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics. Through Ball State University she completed the Dietetic Internship, which consisted of a clinical and food management rotation at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo Indiana.

Fast forward to 7 years later and Lauren has been a dietitian for 4 years and absolutely loves it. She began working for the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis as an RD. At the Y she was able to gain a wide range of experience from all ages focusing on weight management, disease management and overall healthy living. She started Renovate Your Plate because she felt that she had so much more to give. She wanted to spice things up by getting into people’s homes and showing them how to renovate their plate in their very own kitchen. While starting Renovate Your Plate, Lauren worked at Verve Health as Wellness Coordinator and Registered Dietitian, primarily counseling individuals one on one. Currently, she is now consulting full time at Northside Mental Health and Mindful Me.

As cliché as it sounds, she was destined to help others find a healthy relationship with food. Lauren truly believes she was put on this earth to teach others how to renovate their plates and to enjoy it.
